About Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم

Family Tree of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah in 571AD. His father was Hazrat Abdullah and his mother was Hazrat Amna RA. It is said that before the marriage Hazrat Abdullah's forehead used to light up with noor. Which was a sign that a Prophet PBUH has to come in their generation. This was the reason that most of the Quraish women wanted to marry him. But by the command of Allah his marriage was with Hazrat Amna. His grandfather was Hazrat Abdul Matlab.

Apart from Hazrat Abdullah, he had two more sons Whose name was Hazrat Abu Talib who was the father of Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Abbas whose name is related to Abbasid Sultanate.

Hazrat Abdul Muttalib fought a war against Abraha. He was coming to abolish the Ka'bah with the army of elephants. Besides this, Zam-zam well which was filled by the tribe named Juruhum. Hazrat Abdul Muttalib had dug again after getting a hint from Allah in a dream. Before Hazrat Abdul Mutalib comes Hazrat Hashim,

Who was Great grandfathers of Muhammad PBUH. His real name was Amr and later he changed his name to Hashim. Which means the one who feeds the hungry, Because of this name the Family of Muhammad PBUH is called Banu Hashim, The Banu Hashim family belonged to the Arab tribe of Quraysh. Before Hazrat Hashim comes Hazrat Abd-e-Manaf,

Arab's three prominent families: The Banu Hashim, Banu Umayyah and Banu Abbas are Hazrat Abd al-Manaf's son. The third caliph of Muslims Hazrat Uthman RA also belonged to the Umayyads.

If we go seven generations before Hazrat Ab-e-Manaf

We will reach to Hazrat Fihr. Some historians wrote that Hazrat Fahr's name was Quraysh, which is why he is considered the ancestor of the Quraysh tribe. Hazrat Fihr fought against the Yemeni king Khamir who wanted to transfer Ka'ba from Mecca to Yemen.

Nine generations before Hazrat Fihr is Hazrat Adnan

Who holds a very important place in the ancestors of Muhammad PBUH, The whole tribe of Quraysh, which consisted of about ten families, was traditionally the sons of Hazrat Adnan. The Banu Adnans were not originally Arabs, but in the sixth century, when the Babylonians destroyed their former territory. They moved south to the Arabian Peninsula. According to the traditions, Adnanites Arabs were from, the Hazrat Ismail, the elder son of Abraham While the Jews are from Abraham's younger son Ishaq.

This is the reason that: Islam, Jews & Christianity are known as Abrahamic Religions Ismail's mother was Hajra who belonged to the Egypt While Ishaq's mother was Sara, Who was from Mesopotamia. Hazrat Adnan and Hazrat Ismail there are 39 Generations Before Ismail comes his father Hazrat Ibrahim Hazrat Ibrahim always considered the decisions of Allah as a solution And comes out successfull from every trial and test from Allah. That is why Allah gave him the title of Imam for Humanity And in his descendants there are innumerable Prophets and messengers.

Five generations before Ibrahim A.S. comes Hud A.S.

He is known as Abir in Bible. Triditions suggest that he belonged to the Banu Ad, Who lived in Oman These people were very powerful and rich They used to build big buildings as a demonstration of power. Because these people became arrogance and proud And completely refused to obey Hazrat Hud, So Allah destroyed this nation by a huge storm.

Three Generations before Hud A.S. comes Noah

Allah destroyed this nation by the punishment of water Which destroyed the nation of Noah Except for a few people who were in the ark with Noah. The human race grows from the Noah three sons Sam, Hum and Yafita, Who were boarded in the Noah's ark And his fourth son & wife drowned in water. That is why Noah is also called Adam II Because after Noah, human race was a kind of reborn.

Two generations before Noah, comes Idrees A.S.

Who was called Hanuk in Bible. He was the Great Grandfather of Noah Five generations before Idrees comes Adam AS, Who was the foundation of the human race. There was a fight between the Adam's sons Habil & Qabil, Because of which Qabil killed his younger brother Habil.

Thus the human race follows Hazrat Adam's third son Hazrat Seth.  From Hazrat Adam to Hazrat Muhammad, there are approximately 82 generations and approximately 30,000 years.

Now, Lets talk about Hazrat Muhammad PBUH

Muhammad's PBUH first wife was Hazrat Khadija R.A., Until her death, that is, for 25 years, he did not marry anyone else. With Hazrat Khadija, He PBUH had 3 sons and 4 daughters. All the 3 sons died in childhood.

While all the four daughters lived to the youth Two of his daughters married with the third caliph Hazrat Usman Ghani R.A. While Hazrat Fatima RA married with Hazrat Ali R.A. (Cousin of Muhammad PBUH) Ahl-e-Tashih only considers Hazrat Fatima as her daughter. Muhammad PBUH descendants are from Hazrat Fatima R.A. Which lived till this date Hazrat Fatima had 2 sons named: Hazrat Hassan & Hussain R.A. Nowadays, Syed's claimed that they are descendants of Hazrat Hussain. When Jordan's royal Hashmi dynasty claimed to be descended from Hazrat Hassan RA, Ahl-e-Tashih considers the decendants of Prophet Muhammad to be Imams. The most prominent of which are the 12 Imams.

First Imam is Hazrat Ali R.A., Second Hazrat Hassan R.A., And third Hazrat Hussain R.A. Remaining 9 Imams are from Hazrat Hussain R.A.

According to Sunni's, the successors of Muhammad PBUH were Rashideen Caliplhs. The first two of them were the companions of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique And Hazrat Umar Farooq R.A. Both were also the father-in-laws of Muhammad PBUH, After the martyrdom of Hazrat Omar R.A., a committee of 6 people elected Hazrat Osman RA as the 3rd Khalifa.
